Hello everyone, breaktemp here, I will be your host for GBATemp's 2013 December Pokemon Tournament !

Currently, I am accepting applicants for this months tournament.

So, for now, you are able to enter by posting your 3DS Friend Code, Pokemon X/Y Trainer Name, your time zone/region, and if you have obtained the "Vs. Recorder" Item :

Spoiler: Tournament Rules :

All battles will use "Battle For Two - Double Battle" with "Flat Battle" rules.

Flat Battle : Pokemon above Level 50 will be set to 50 for the battle and both players will choose 4 of their 6 registered Pokemon after team preview.

* Note that pokemon under level 50 will not level up *

Special/Banned Pokemon : The following pokemon will not be able to be registered in flat battles.

- Mewtwo
- Xerneas
- Yveltal
- Zygarde

We will also be using "Species Clause" and "Item Clause" for this tournament.

Species Clause : No two Pokémon can share the same Pokédex number.

Item Clause : No two Pokémon can hold the same held item.

All Pokemon legal move sets, abilities, and mega evolutions will be available for use.

After a battle is concluded, both trainers must record the results with the Vs.Recorder.

The "Knockout Stage" will consist of 8 trainers.

Knockout Stage : Best 2 out of 3 Matches, with the trainers who have the best win/loss records from the "Group Stage", where the winner moves on to the next round.

Adding a quick update describing how this tournament will be run "

On Monday (December 9th, 2013), once entries are closed, I will randomly select 4 entrants and set them as a group.

I will keep doing so until all entrants have been grouped.

Afterwards...if the final group has less than 4 members, i will increase some of the group's size to 5.

I will then add these entrants into the new openings in these groups.

Next, the members of each group will exchange 3DS-Friend Codes and setup a time to battle.

You then battle every member in your group "once" and save the results to your battle recorder.

Once you have completed this step, post your win/loss results of your group in this thread.

That following Friday (December 13th, 2013) I will tally-up the entrant's records and select the trainers who will be moving on to the Knockout Stage.

If all of the groups have submitted their results before the 13th...the Knockout Stage will start up earlier !!
