Hacking DealExtreme's Hori Screen Protectors - Fake

As you can see in the stickied thread (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=33909), there are some differences between the real and fake hori screen protectors.

Looking at these two pictures:

we can see that the real ones from play-asia have japanese words. The ones from deal extreme have english words:

Then, on the back of the case, they seem to have hole-punched wrong at the very bottom of the plastic wrapping

I personally doubt hori made these screen protectors.

Although Dealextreme is known for thier low prices, this is a bit too low for real ones in my opinion. They have also neglected to say that they are from hori in the title/description.

I say we should inform DX about this and maybe they gonna replace
the stock with real ones..

DealExtreme sell cheap generic China/HK produced products, you can't honestly expect anything there to be 'real'.

just look at the wiikeys, they are obvious clones, and the Supercard they sell is also fake.

You know they should still be fine. Capdase (Taku) screen protectors have a similar green sheet on one of the sides, and they fit perfectly >_>

I noticed the n-card i have is diffrent from the one on dx. So i dont know if theres are fakes/clones or if mines is. i was talking to a member of the n-card support team and he said mines doesnt look fake to him so im kind of suspicious about the dx ones

Don't want to burst your bubble, but the ones I got from play asia had english writing on them, exact same as your "fake" ones.

That said they were placed in the middle of the protector, so your are probably fake.

I use the ledshoppe ones and love them, they work great =) I also have the 3 in one pen/stylus/lazer+light thing from there.... the stylus feels so great on the screen and having the weight and the full length is lovely =)

I've just noticed that they seem to have that wii gun attachment thing =o and they've got pretty cool DS charger stands, though they seem a little pointless!
