Hacking DealExtreme R4 + 1GB MicroSD card deal is back!

As many of you may know, DealExtreme raised their prices on the R4 DS because of issues with the manufacture.

The R4 DS + 1GB Japanese Kingston MicroSD card bundle deal is now $47.95, or is it?

I have stumbled across a hidden product page. (Well, I didn't, but I heard about it) It is $44.95 on this page. Not quite the $43 it used to be, but pretty close. Here is the link:

There is also another one for just the R4, but you only save $0.50 with this one:

The weird thing though, is that neither of these deals show up on the DealExtreme website, unless you go to the direct link. Weird, huh?

So save yourself a few bucks if looking to buy from DealExtreme.

I think the R4 team is taking advantage of the popularity and increasing their price. I just want them to come out with an upgraded R4 (R4 Real, something with removable memory) for cheap, so I can gift away my original R4 :-)

You can aslo get a combo there is that just lists it as an 1GB OEM TF card but the pictures are just edited version of the Kingston card.

That isn't an actual picture of it. An I wouldn't trust those cards to be the Japanese ones we all love. However, they still might be. Better safe than sorry I say. And it's only $1 cheaper.

the price of it seems incredible good to me, i just ordered one for a present from gamersection.ca and came to near 90$ (CDN). But this includes shipping as far as I can tell, has anyone purchased from dealextreme before? are they reliable/not fake R4s? And if anyone from canada has bought before, did they get any charges on delivery?

I have purchased from dealextreme and live in Canada. They mark it as a gift and list the contents as LEDs. No charge at all. The overall time was about 3 weeks from the day I ordered it to the day it got to my door.

The last package I got (wasnt R4/M3 or SD card related though) was labeled so if customs didn't decide to tamper with it, there would be no COD/import fees. I have had one instance, where I imported a DMM (digital multi meter) which I actually paid $8USD + shipping for, and customs decided it should have been valued at $85CAD - in the end (about 6 weeks later) I got my money back ($5COD + 7% of $85, back before GST went down 1%) from them as I did have a receipt for the payment, though it cost me a stamp and 10 minutes. Delivery time from them to Alberta has been 8-17 business days from time of order.

yes, i did append my refferal link to that. it wont change what you pay, so it'd be nice if you used that link. but for some reason, some people are totally against it, and if you are, just take off the ~r. thing.

Actually, they are two completely different products. One of them comes with a guaranteed Japanese Kingston MicroSD, and the other one comes with a no-name MicroSD card that could be any brand. Probably not a Japanese one.

Some people have suggested buying a bunch of the R4s deals (like 7) and paying the extra cost for EMS shipping to get it quicker. (The EMS cost goes down when you buy more) Then they take the extra R4s and selling them for a good profit on Craigslist, and actualy making money in the long run. I think that is a great idea

In fact, I'll probably do it myself (dibs on Portland craigslist though)

EDIT. You'll probably make more money with the 1GB memory bundle deal, due to the nature of craigslist buyers.

here is a dumb fact, if you order them separate it comes out to $45, a R4 cost $32, and a 1gb kingston cost $13 dollars, but the bundle is for $48, so dont get the deal buy them separately and they will ship it to you in the same package anyways.
