Yeah I saw this a while back too, it's only in pink though

If it's a SC clone I'll pass, as I want decent GBA compatibility.

If it's a M3 Lite clone, i'm going for it pink or not.

Yea, if it is a m3 clone, I could care less what color it is. Although the companies web site shows it in all colors.

I don't have it yet, but as bollocks mentioned, it's fairly certain to be some sort of supercard variant. Unfortunately I was under the impression that supercards had pretty good GBA compatibility.

The SuperCard is a GBA/NDS adapter which allows you to play backup games, run homebrew applications, watch movies, play music, view pictures and display text. The Supercard can be run on a Nintendo DS, GBA, GBASP and GBM. It has the appearance of the regular GBA cartridge, with a slot for either a MINISD card.

The amount of storage the SuperCard contains via a MINISD flash depends on your card. The Supercard currently supports a MINISD flash card up to 16Gbits (2MBytes). Your backups and homebrew applications can easily be written to your card through a USB card reader. Currently, the Supercard is the lowest-priced GBA/NDS backup utility.

Has anyone found more info on this thing? I've searched for hours, even translated some chinese forums, and they seem to think that its a supercard clone too. Plus the patching software seems to be the same as SC. I'm gonna order one and spray paint it white. If anyone can find out if I can flash the newest SC firmware on this thing, that would be great. If no one else finds out I'll let you know how it turns out in about a month..... I'll risk losing $25 to have newer firmware...

I just received one from DealExtreme today.

First Impressions:

It's a Supercard Lite near-clone. The opening splash screen actually shows the Supercard Logo! The software is also almost Identical, although in Chinese by default. You can switch to english by clicking on the second tab and choosing english. I tried updating the firmware (1.63) to the latest official Supercard firmware (1.81) but it just gave me error messages. I tried both english and chinese firmware to no avail.

I also tried using the latest version of the Supercard software to write games to the MicroSD card and it seemed to work fine but the NDS games would not boot. GBA games work though.

Using the software that came with the unit (v 1.0) NDS and GBA games seem to load and run fine. There are no instructions in the box and the manufacturer's web site is bogus so don't expect any support or software updates. That's the downside to saving a few bucks. Luckily you can just follow the instructions on supercard's website because the operation of the unit is for all intents and purposes identical.

As far as compatibility goes, I've tried about 6 games each of NDS and GBA roms and all seemed to work with no issues. Obviously I will not be testing every game in existence but if I do find incompatibilities I will try to post them here.

I opened up the unit and the build quality of the circuit board seems to be pretty good overall.

Bottom line: I would have to recommend spending a few more bucks for an original name-brand cartridge. At least then you will be getting long-term support for the product.

Hope that helps!

Got one yesterday.

Fit and color are good. It's not precisely flush, but comparable to the M3 Lite. I'm not familiar with the supercard series, but it seems to be using supercard firmware as it uses the supercard logo and produced an error common to the supercard when using a card formatted with FAT32:

"Not FAT Format
Please turn off GBA"

Tested a handful of GBA and NDS roms. Most worked, but the GBA issues seem to carry over from the supercard, and I could not get Pokemon Pearl to work for the DS. According to a forum post, there is a newer alpha version of the patching software, but the link seems to be dead.
