Hacking dead microsd adapter?

hey guys, yesterday after transferring some stuff over to the micro sd, i removed it and plugged it in again. and at that point when i put it in, it said UNRECOGNISED USB DEVICE. the light still turns on but it doesnt work. ive tried on my other pc too and it says the same thing. how can i fix this problem or do i need a new one?

Try restarting the pc. If that doesn't help then it just might of died.
