Day 20: Ewin Expansion Pack

Yesterday, I finished my review of the Ewin Expansion Pack.

The Ewin Expansion Pack allows slot-1 flashcart users to play GBA games hopefully quicker and easier than than it's main competitor, the EZ-Flash 3 in 1. Ewin mainly makes slot-2 carts and they have not yet made a slot-1 flashcart, but their slot-2 efforts were generally well-received and all-round good products, therefore I had high hopes for this.
I was most disappointed with the compatibility bugs, as playing GBA games is the only thing this does therefore I would expect it to play them well, but hopefully this will improve as time passes (there have only been a couple of updates so far, so I cannot tell if the support will be good or not)
All in all, the Ewin Expansion Pack is a really good alternative to the EZ-Flash 3 in 1 Expansion pack, and it loads GBA games really well, however that's all it does. It lacks extra features like real-time save and cheats, which the M3DS Real has, and the text-only loader is very basic and simple. There is room for improvement in this product, and I still recommend it, but at the moment it's just an easy way to play GBA games, without any fancy extra bells or whistles.

Ordered the TopToyDS, but glad to see that Ewin's GBA loader is compatible. I'm reconing that the loader will give the same results as Ewin's card.

Good cart but some compatibility issues but faster loading. But overall i prefer my 3 in 1.

In my M3DS Real review, I could load GBA games using the built-in loader normally used for the M3DS GBA Expansion Pack, but I haven't done extensive testing so don't take my word for it.

I voted meh, it is a good expansion, but like how my 3 in 1 has NOR as well as PSRAM, so I can load a game to NOR, and have it act like a regular game cart.
The only problem with my 3 in 1 is that it sticks out about half a millimeter, and has a matte finish.
Also the compatibility issues are to large a problem for me to overlook.

It's not bad for a Slot-2 Expansion.

The EZFlash V 3 in 1 outclasses the EEP though..
Better compatibility, no RTC, etc. If the team would fix those flaws, I would consider getting one.
