Hacking Dashboard Update

Hi all i'm brand new to 360 RGH scene. I can't solder at all so i paid someone to install RGH and put XEXMenu on it just a basic install.

I've installed Aurora and got it as default, i've copied some games form my discs to the hard drive.

What i want to know now is, is it possible to update to latest dashboard? Just to ensure all games play ok. I understand i will need to use XeBuild and build an updated nand that way and flash it. The guide i've seen on this is 2+ years old so just wanted to make sure i got the newest most up to date info before i jump in. I don't want to brick or break the RGH.

Are game updates still valid from Aurora? I recently aquired another rgh console and games like Oblivion didnt pull an update, yet years ago, i used to be able to get them easily via the dash.

I haven't been able to pull updates anymore from FSD.
Xboxunity + 360 content manager does a better job tho.
Especially since Xbox Unity doesn't have every title update.
