Darkness and Light (MMO)

Hi,

i would like to inform you about a very interesting "new" game (online since beginning of this month), Darkness and Light (DaL) http://global.onlinedal.com/

you can compare the game to the Warcraft 3 mod Dota. Its pretty interesting only problem at the moment seems to be the stability ... i never expirienced any problems but there are ppl who say the just get kicked sometimes random ... (sad that you have sometimes unbalanced teams)

But ok if you have luck that there is no quitter its quit fun and with a little bit of skill you might even beat a team with one more player than your own.

Is it like starcraft? They didn't show much screens on the website. Is it similar to AOE?

If you aren't into wc3 multiplayer (which is the only way you might not be aware of what dota is), you might want to have a look at the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_of_the_Ancients

Basicly you only get to control your hero character, while your town produces basic units that walk towards the enemy town on their own. The target is to destroy the enemy town's main building.

I haven't played this game but from the first post this should be the same type of game, just as a standalone

Yeah it is barely the same ... only problem all of the Dota fans i know have is that there aren't sooo much characters atm but its enough for the beginning i think.

i just noticed another bad thing as well as those quitter ... if you have a bad team you can be the best player ever but you will lose ... i just played 4 on 4 and i was best of all (i am mostly the best or the worst, barely never anything else) and my team sucked so much ... i could alone destroy half of the enemy base than the king's kame out and what are my teammates doing ? killing the enemy king ? no they still were bashing the enemy base while the 4 enemys killed me and than our king :/ ok i didn't lose much points because i was best and because the enemys were all level 5 while my team was me(4) and 3 others (1) so it was ok ... at least we made a good fight


so if you are someone who cannot loose ... NEVER !!!! play with level 1 player cuz they are rarely pro's who just started ne account ... mostly those are just totaly noobs




P.S. there are more pictures in the Forums of the Game you can watch the screenshots without registering ... at least it was like thise a week before
