I've always liked the Dark Cloud games *aka Dark Chronicles*, i liked how weapon upgrades had their own special tree's by synthesizing certain elements you can go down a certain branch and get a different weapon or just make your current one stronger. The adventures that the games had were amazing, awesome music... i just think they should move from sony onto Nintendo.... im just saying lol. think it would be good or bad lemme know your opinions!

isnt rogue galaxy turned based? and its not a matter of necessity as no games are needed for anything... people just love video games for the fun lol. Isnt Rogue galaxy the game with the wannabe ninja guy that gets a cactus sword? lol.

Good God YES!!! Every time someone mentions DC2, I get a stiffy. When 3 is mentioned, I get pre fluids. Every time I heard that 3 isn't even talked about, I have to go look at porn to be satisfied.

Honestly, I hope to God Level-5 Doesn't leave us high and dry. Especially since the amount of improvement 2 was over 1 was astronomical!

It has the best opening scene of any game.

Level-5 has done many games for Nintendo. Though, I do wish they would add DC 3 to the list. Or at least a remake of 2 with more weapons, and fixes.

I also wish to express for appreciation for that particular series of games, I liked DC2 better, but loved both games. I will be looking into this, I may have to get a copy for my PS2 again, but it would be difficult to get a PS3 just for dark cloud 3. I could trade-in my xbox 360, but then I can't part with Tales of Vesperia either. Maybe a port of darkcloud 2 onto the 3ds, this would be very very nice.

I never finished DC2 but ahhh DC1 was so much fun. I doubt Level 5 would make it for 3DS but if they did, chances are it wouldn't be available outside of JPN for a long while.

Yep, Dark Cloud 2 was incredible. I'd definitely like to see something like that on the 3DS.
I didn't enjoy Rogue Galaxy as much though.

Dark Cloud 2 was a surprise. I didn't like DC1, but man I loved DC2 (not to hump it like other users, but nonetheless!)

The first game threw me off with the thirst system, and the mechanics to build the 'perfect town' were also more complicated. The second game simplified the gameplay and house making to please everything very well, and tossed in other stuff that made it fun, like Spheda and medal hunting. It's not necessary to complete the game, but it's a fun side thing.

The story might have been somewhat Disney-esque (in which most bad guys are not really evil, just misunderstood or manipulated in the end, and almost noone dies!), but it was simple and solid up to the end of it. No real gaping plotholes or convulated story that makes you have to go back to 15 chapters before to understand what they mean.

All in all, it was a great game that went under the radar of many people, and a highly recommended game to add to your retro-collection of PS2 games if you find a copy. Here's hoping for PSN releases or remakes.

@FranckKnight Great Post man you summed it up in one go. Spheda is the shit.

The only grudge is that in DK1 I was a slingshot and in DK2 i was a robot.

one of my favorite things was the picture combination to create stuff and capturing stuff at certain moments to give you some more replay value. great music again peace of the world is my all time fav.

I have Heid Rada as my Text message notification and Balance valley for my Ringtone. i like the calmness of both of them so im not rushed to check my messages super fast to quiet it down lol.
