Hello everyone, I wanted to ask what are the dangers of running luma3ds for emulators and twilight? I've been thinking of buying and new 2ds but I remember back before my old 3ds broke a huge ban wave happened that got a lot of people banned including me over using freeshop happened so I wanted to ask if this is something that the scene has to constantly worry about.

no. its not a worry. it was never fully determined to be of freeshop either. Just dont cheat online. dont use a fraud credit card. or dont do a chargeback and ya wont get banned. Still paranoid?.....then dont bother with cfw whatsoever.

As long as you have disabled SpotPass and the option to show your friends what you are playing, then there is almost no chance of a ban if you don't do anything stupid like cheating online or setting your favorite title to FBI.

That little cliche has been shown to be nothing more than superstition of the 3ds console.

Somebody did a study on this, the chance of a ban is supposedly increased by six percent when these settings are enabled. Also, if this wasn't true, then why would it still be in the guide?

search the site. those numbers are bs.
I don't see how you could possibly think you would know more about this than people who have actually studied this, and here you are, dogmatically insisting that Plailect is wrong about this, even though he has far more experience than you do.

read this site. there are plenty of members that have done actual traffic sniffing with what gets sent to and from nintendo with and without settings on or off. Read a bit here, instead of other sites you go on about.

Well, I think I am going to go with what Plailect said, because he wrote the guide, and I am sure that he checked the accuracy of his facts in preparation of uploading the guide.
