Hardware d2prog wont run

I have a d2pro v3 and i want to update the fw to 2.3 so it fixes my inching problem on my d2c. i installed the drivers and it all seems to be fine windows does say to use usb 2.0 port for faster transfter even thought my computer only has usb 2.0. when i run the program it does nothing says something like programmer firmware _ and i cant type anything. anyone know how to fix this ?

There are incompatibilites between the d2prog and certain pc chipsets (may have to do the the driver, idk.) Unless you are good at swapping chipsets on mobos, or creating drivers, then a using a different pc is the only option as of right now.
