    Hello
it was all fun and games researching about wiikey and all that
till ifound out i had a d2c wii

now i find myself in a predicament
    d2ckey
    42 soldering points
42 chances to screw up my wii

    so i ask this question
is there any chip that will 100% probability of working and is a little easier to install
and is there any new chips in development for the d2c?

D2Pro, Argon, or wait to see if the newly announced Wasabi Wii chip turns out to be real. Check my site for more details.

There's a new chip coming out soon called Wasabi. It lists many good features with only a 9 wire install. The problem is that it has yet to be released, so there are no reviews of it, noone knows how good the support will be, and noone knows the price yet.

If you're willing to wait, it's worth a look. Here's the site for it.

u can always just ask an expert to solder your d2ckey in, it'll be worth it though

use the d2pro , its only 15 wires or 19 if you want to bypass region, if you are not to clever with soldering to the legs you can always solder to the vias on the reverse side of the board , this is a strong joint which i have done many times ,after people have messed up trying to solder to the chips legs.
