Cyclowiz Website Shut Down

It appears the ESA has forced the Cyclowiz web site to shut down. Apparently because one could buy the mod chip from there. The site instead goes to a plain text explanation of the ESA requesting the web host to shut it down.

The sale of circumvention devices, including modification chips, is
actionable under federal law.

This was not the official CycloWiz site. It was owned by a reseller. The official site is, and always has been, teamcyclops.com

Ok, I'm not that familiar with which is official site

. But, does this mean more of a crackdown on US storefronts for mod chips, ds flash carts, etc? The boards are already full of people asking how long it takes to order from overseas merchants...

There have been a bunch of raids recently on US store fronts.

Just order from overseas, so it takes a week to get your flashcart or modchip, big whoop.

lol i was shocked. i thought that was an official site for a second. Not much into CycloDS or anything, but glad to hear it wasn't the official place

But yeah, modchip/copy protection circumvention hardware sold in the us usually doesn't fly too well. It's weird, they don't really seem to care if you have the stuff, but they dont want you making money off of it
