    Cyclowiz Update 3.0 released!

    Out now...

    [IMG]
    Team Cyclops have finally released the long awaited upgrade for their Cyclowiz Wii modchip. Here's what the new version 3.0 brings:
    Apparently the team didn't have time to complete D2B chipset compatibility testing, but state that a D2B compatible upgrade will be released shortly.

    You can download your corresponding update below:

    [IMG] So, (in their time) did they make the day limit? Or not?
    Anyway, I guess that is cool that they finally updated, just wish they wouldn't wait till last minute.

    I thought it was found that the Cyclowiz wasn't actually upgradable?

    Or is it that v2 is upgradable and v1 is not?

    haha, no time to complete tests for d2b.
    means "we couldnt get it to work on d2b and we most likely wont"

    ok i updated my chip and made a few tests, i started with cube games.
    all games are unpatched clean backups, working fine on real cube, on good media (tdk or verbatim).

    super mario sunshine (PAL, NTSC): (b)efore update: DRE (a)fter update: DRE
    f-zero gx (NTSC): (b) missing gfx in menus (a) missing gfx in menus
    geist (NTSC): (b) DRE (a) hangs at the loading screen forever
    wave race blue storm (NTSC): (b) DRE (a) messed up GFX and sound
    luigis mansion (NTSC): see wave race. maybe ill take a screenshot later.

    i must say im a PAL wii owner, but many others game runs fine with the wiinja boot disc auto settings (a button)
    all NTSC games i tried above dont need boot disc anymore.
    using bootdisc and manually booting in ntsc mode (y button) seems to solve the problems for wave race, luigi and geist.

    onto the wii games

    wario ware (PAL): (b) movies choppy (a) fine
    spongebob (PAL): (b) DRE (a) fine
    cars (PAL): (b) DRE (a) fine
    ice age 2 (PAL): (b) DRE (or didnt test;)) (a) DRE - bad release?

    Mario sunshine PAL works fine here after the update using GCOS selfboot multi-game disk.

    Its on a multi-disc game, Before the update putting it on a DVD by itself and with or without GCOS it would get to the menu Screen then give me a DRE. Try sticking it on a multi-game dvd. Donkey Konga 2 also had this problem but i havent tried it yet.

    I will but it'll take me a while to grab the file cos im not wasting my ratio on it [IMG] I'll post my results tomorrow. Not many tests i done but some import GC games work fine without GCOS and with less stuttering in THDJ. Everything seems to be good with the chip now.

    * Multi-purpose LED
    -----------What is that, really? OMG it turns off..... AND ON!
    * Very easy to install
    -----------So what, now they've released a new one? Or are they implying that opening your wii and soldering is "very easy." After seeing GBAtemp's official review of FANTASTIC NOODLES... not everything is as easy as once thought.

    Now i'm done making fun of their feature list. And no, im not any type of modchip fanboy.
