AFAIK, the Edge doesn't have any official ties with the Cyclops team. Also, I'm pretty sure it's just a knockoff Cyclo DS that doesn't have an internal firmware and doesn't have the in game menu feature.

i think costello just took the line about checking facts a bit to seriously. i'm going to be the one doing the review and it reads like an attack on me. fact checking is what i do best, but they have never delt with me before so how would they know that. but thankfully i could give a crap what anyone thinks of me =). my work speaks for itself.

i think that some of the news was jumping the gun a bit but everything we posted WAS true, so i really don't see the problem here.

what i want to know is what cyclops is doing about dsi homebrew. are they going to offer money to developers or just hope that someone decides to write homebrew for the ievo dsi mode.

Meh. It's still an overpriced card for underwhelming capabilities. Yeah, I'd like DSi homebrew as much as the next person, owning an XL and all, but really, I'm not going to pay $50+ for something that, at least at first, ONLY does homebrew. And that's if it really even gets any attention. The DSi's never been insanely popular like the Wii and DS initially were...otherwise we'd probably have it cracked open by now.

I know that DSi enhancement support isn't a huge deal from a playability standpoint ("YAY NAO I CAN TAKES PICTUREZ ON iCARLEHH DS"), but from a technological standpoint, I think it makes the iEVO a lot more attractive and promising. After all, though it may be lame DSi-enhanced features now, it shows that DSiWare support is at least a plausible possibility, as opposed to just wishful thinking and speculation like it was when it was first announced.

They've become a joke. "superior technical support", they can't even keep a forum up and running and don't reply to emails. It's a sad day when the R4 and it's clones are a better choice than the supposedly premium cart that is the CycloDS. I own a CycloDS and have actually found myself contemplating picking up an R4.
