This is a thread for people who have got thier cyclo ds evolution to let other users know how it is.

I got mine today, my first impressions where that the tin looked professional but the cart itself looked really tacky. It wasnt reconigized by the ds for a bit but after a few tries its finally working properly. Its a very quick and simple cart, Easy to use and i like the advanced features and the nice way cheats are presented to you before you load a game. Very happy in my investment overall.

    Anyone else got any comments?

Oh, I forgot to mention that. Yeah, mine is recognized 100% of the time. Are you pushing it all the way in until you hear the click? it needs to be pushed further than most carts do, such as the R4.

The Evo will have support for the EZ 3 in 1 rumble and RAM expansion pack but I'm not too sure about the GBA games.

Here are a list of upcoming features stright from the CycloDS admin

    Code:
Following is a list of features which are planned for a future release. Please only post a new thread in this forum if you wish to request a feature which is not already listed here!

    - Support for user created Action Replay codes

    - Having several skins on your MicroSD card at once and togging via the Options screen

    - Support for running GBA games (no patching required) in conjunction with a slot 2 CycloDS Micro/Mini

    - Using either CycloDS Micro/Mini or the EZFlash 3in1 as a RAM pack for the Opera Browser

    - Using the EZFlash 3in1 as a rumble expansion for NDS games

    - Screen capture from the GUI, to assist skin creators in making previews

    - Returning to the CycloDS Evolution menu from Moonshell (ie: soft reset)

    - Sleep mode supported in the CycloDS Evolution GUI

    - More languages supported for the ingame menu

To get it to be reconigized had to push down on the plastic bits near the contacts of the actual card. I love the way how easy it is, Im used to having an m3 lite so this is my first slot 1 card and im very impressed by how simple but yet advanced it can be. The micro sd reader was a bonus too...now i dnt have to mess around with a sd adapter.

I think its a very nice cart. The plastic feels light but that's not problem because it just lowers costs.

ive noticed a few minor graphical glitches when using slow motion. Also it freezes up when going back to main menu from puzzle planet.

I thankfully got mine quickly. I ordered it about 11pm friday night and was here this morning.

So to run GBA games, you need the CycloDS MiniSD?

    Or MicroSD.

I got my Evolution about 5 hours ago now and it's a great cart. It's a little slow to load the menu but it's really fast to load games.

    I freaking LOVE this thing.

I'm returning my DSXtreme 16Gb tomorrow and keeping the cyclo. Cheaper with better performance and expandability, tough decision there.

Not to mention the DSX update is *still* not out.

They have a good point, not that I don't respect the review done.

Thanks for the firmware heads up bobrules... I wish they had an RSS feed or email list for updates.

Come on, they're obviously pissed. They love their product and GBATemp gave them, IMO, a lower score than it deserved.

Just have to wait for the re-reviews.

I don't understand how people can call ANY flash carts bulky, or give them praise for not being bulky. Every card I've ever used/encountered was perfectly fine.

Even the CycloDS which is "a little thicker because of the sticker" just slides right in. My DSX fits perfectly, etc.... Seriously, it's a tiny little cart, it fits just fine. If it's causing you issues maybe you need to start doing curls with a snickers bar or something.
