They were some capable graphics cards, I can tell you that. But they were destroyed by Nvidia and ATI.

    This seems a little… early, doesn’t it?

I gotta disagree with that, I think it was better than both Matrix sequels. Then again, that's not saying much.

I actually enjoyed them all, I just don't think making the movie was a good idea, because realistically not many people even know about it. That includes a ton of people I know that love The Matrix, but never have heard of The Animatrix. Now I wanna watch em all again

Yeah I imagine it would be far more well-known if it released today, what with the ubiquity of Netflix and Hulu. Hard to believe Animatrix released so long ago that Blockbuster was still a dominant force in the market.

Around here at least it got all the advertising as part of the multi market push with the games and whatever else. I don't know what that translates into today as knowledge of it but plenty did know about it.

As far as the end result it was far from the worst anime I ever saw, and several had some really interesting premises and explorations of things brought up by the matrix.

It should also note it was not uncommon at all for things to get a cartoon tie in around then (Godzilla, Men in Black, The Mummy, The Mask, Ace Ventura, Highlander, loads of Disney efforts but eh, Kong, Ozzy & Drix, Starship Troopers, *spits* Stargate, Stuart little, and a bunch of others).

I´m not so into this game, I enjoyed Earthworm Jim and the Super Mario Btothers Super Show on saterday morningings back in the 90´s. I played with those action figures. They even got a a line of
Funko Pop! ready. Those 2000ś kids need something to ramble about when it´s 2050. I think this is decent as cultural phenomonen, well crafted and placed in the market.

Studio Trigger was the perfect choice. I actually wanna see this, nothing beats Studio Trigger's animation and writing.

Maybe production ig would have been a better choice for a cyberpunk 2077 with the work they did with psycho pass, ghost in the shell,...

I hope they didn't choose trigger because it costs less or something like that

I might give this anime a watch when it comes out, but that release window for it is kinda a big yikes for me.

Have you not seen KLK, Little Witch or any Trigger animation. Especially Promare? Trigger's art-style and animation fits perfectly.

trigger use a more cartoony style than a studio like production ig and make stories with less complex systems, that's all i say
And i love studio trigger even if i was a little disappointed for some of their latest productions (last anime i watched from them for exemple suffer a lot from a pacing problem)

Seems to be a very japanese project, so hopefully will be good and with no woke stuff.
