Why do games tell on themselves in the title of the game?

Duke Nukem FOREVER (took Forever, and it sucked)
Halo Infinite (will be infinity before it comes out, and it will suck)

It seems like whatever writer for the universe that comes up with names is just a terrible writer. Like how Anthony Weiner had a scandal involving sending dick pics, the mayor of New Orleans during Katrina was named Ray Nagin (rain again), the dude (allegedly) helping people pirate Nintendo games was named Bowser, stuff like that.

Actually, it was delayed from November 19 to December 10. As in, it was going to come out in November and is now supposed to come out in December. Therefore, it was delayed.
Something about "Cyberpunk 2077 Marketing Tricked to December" doesn't have the same ring to it...

The delay IS a marketing trick to build a artificial hype for the game and to talk about it...

So what you're saying is that a game that was already delayed twice, has now been delayed once again as a marketing strategy. After it was already one of the most anticipated games of the year, after everyone was already talking about it, and after they announced that it had gone gold and stated in multiple arenas that there will be "no more delays."

That sure makes a lot of sense.

i think its the oposite, when a agme gets delayed several times people will just get fed up about it and start ignoring yet another news about the delayed game, becuase if you think that is a marketing trick then duke nukem forever must have sold like 30 million copys with so many announcements of delays over the year, oh wait...

Well if its a good game ofc people will buy it. But it def builds a talk around it like we are doing right now.

the game was highly hyped before so the delays dont make it anymore hyped than it was, imo the hype has been going down by alot due to keeping delaying it, heck everyone is talking about ps5/xbsx and such so the attentions are more regarded to new gen and new games on those gens, afaik cyberpunk next gen version will only be in 2021 so it will be just a backwards compatible title on release, and people now are wanting true next gen releases, and that is what is getting hyped.

so yeah i dont think this game will get that much more attention on this age not until next gen talk slows down abit.
