Custome iPod Firmware

Does anyone know if the online community has ever made a custom firmware for the ipod classic so you don't have to see album artwork when navigating the menu? I'm not even sure if it's possible but its worth asking.

Not sure about the Classic, but there's the Rockbox for the older Ipods, and a whole lot of other Mp3 players... They were a custom firmware.

it only supports up too the ipod video 60-80GB
every ipod after that could not be hacked
