Just wondering who in the whole forum is going to be the first to get it downloaded, installed and tested and report back on what is probably going to be the biggest update in Wii hacking history! [IMG]

lol. Been waiting for the past 3 hours and Ive resisted the temptation of creating a pre-release thread like this one. [IMG]

The anticipation of it all is stopping me from sleeping! lol

Maybe I should close my eyes and dream of emulated nands jumping nand gates? [IMG]

Hopefully when I awaken again and check this thread someone will have plenty to say about it. Needless to say I bet I am last in the download queue!

Does it matter? I've been using like Rev14 since the summer time. No issues to date. Why jump all over this... doesn't your WII do everything that you want it to? lol. Updating without being warned of issues, is why you 1,000 threads about 4.2 updating issues, etc.

Not worth it, really.... Wak if you're reading this. Great job bud, you've given the community a lot.

Not worth it? Of course it is! Emulated nand support will allow better patching of the system without risk and better compatibility also fixes the fear of an update brick. i see your comparision between r14 and r17 not much difference just bug fixes but I believe this rev has had a massive overhaul and many improvments and optimisations have been implemented, we should see some more compatibility this time around hopefully with stubborn iso and wiiware games. piggies crossed.

True, but this is why it might be an idea to run it on an emulated nand first if we are able to do that? Im sure if there are any serious bugs they will be sorted out quite quickly.

You are acting like 5 minutes after its out you will be doing this. It will take days lfor the usual for bugs to get ironed out. It works with sneek, yes but still no homebrew from hbc will load and it will be days before loaders start to implement changes

Yeh valid points there. I read you loud and clear. Not expecting it all fixed in 5mins, but this is a big shake up in the scene and the authors of the loaders will be keen to get this supported asap I would have thought. Sometimes its nice to think about having your eggs in one basket but sometimes you got to take your basket half full and fill it up with additional eggs after. Something like that anyway? I dont know I'm really tired and so i'm getting some shut eye. Catch you laters!

Who's going to take bets on what the probable bugs will be? My guess is dual layer's broken again but I hope that's tested before release. [IMG]

So, who's gonna post it first?

Maybe we should wait and let wanin do it hemself... but if not, then let's just continue this little race/fight/whatever-it-is-competition.

I wouldn't be surprised if there ends up being about 5-10 "cios rev18 is released" threads being posted simultaneoulsy here...

You go and refresh the Wii Hacking page and... "WTF? 10 of them!?"

But then again, that might not happen, since this very thread could end up being a distraction for people to look at while others gather the cIOS and it's info, and then post it themselves....

So maybe the best idea would be to not talk about this thread... else you may lose your chance...

Says me, the guy who's written this silly comment in this thread in the first place... lol.

ummm... yeah.... I.. have.. to... go... now...

    Yeah, you better run. [IMG]

Is it out yet? Is it out yet? I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed for another 12 hours. =P

    This topic is indeed useless.

I also believe it should be locked.

    However...
While all you guys were posting in this thread, I found this:
    cIOS38_rev18-Installer.zip
