Hacking Custom Health And Safety Screen

I just made an awesome image in gimp that I'd like to use as my heath and safety screen. I'm experienced in Wii hacking but I've never messed with Wii customization before. I've never had the urge before but I'd like to know how to do this. I've searched but didn't find any conclusive information that wasn't old or outdated. I'd like up to date tools and methods. I'd also like to customize the Press A to Continue message. I'm on 3.2U if that matters.

What is the easiest way i can customize my health screen? What hassle free tools do i need to do this?

Have you seen something that can do this? Not sure I think that would involve something to do with the hacks.ini file, or rewriting the code for the system menu
IOS60, and rewrite over the top. huge undertaking. correct me if I'm wrong.

Look for Healthii v1.1.

Healthscreen: 608x456 / Press A: 608x88 / I think Healthii resizes the pics though.

I used a jpg but it should work for a bmp or png.
You also will need a Wad of your current system menu.

There is a Healthii Installer dol that goes with it (for installation of the .health file to the Wii). It didn't work for me, the heath screen never changed. Look for the SoftMii Tweaks dol. MyMenuify might work too except the extension might have to be .csm instead of .health. Having bootmii doesn't hurt either.

wiihome sucks, it never works properly for me.
theres times when itll work perfectly, and then theres times where ill need nand cleaner to get rid of it and then reinstall it because itll go all distorted on boot.

Thanks for the recommendations! I think I'll just use Healthii. I have Bootmii and of course will make a backup beforehand. I have a question though. Is the systemmenu-v289.wad the system menu i need for 3.2u?

EDIT: I searched around and found that systemmenu-v289.wad is the 3.2u system menu.
