Just released is an update to the custom Acekard RPG OS Menu with 3n1 support.
Here are the changes from the readme:
QUOTE said:
changes in 4.06e04:
- gbaframe support.
frame must be placed at fat0:/__rpg/ui//gbaframe.bmp.
 gbaframe.bmp must be 256x192x16bit image.
- in-game sleep support in some gba games. actual list of supported games you
 can see here:
 http://acekard-3in1.googlecode.com/svn/tru...4/gba_sleep.txt

3in1 support:
- new item in start menu "3in1". this item opens dialog where you can open
ram, set rumble strength or make sram backup.
- auto open ram when launching "nintendo browser" europe/japan release.
- you can load gba games directly from shell in same manner as common nds game.
there is autopatcher for most savetypes:
 NOSAVE
 SRAM_V*
 SRAM_F_V*
 EEPROM_V120
 EEPROM_V121
 EEPROM_V122
 EEPROM_V124
 EEPROM_V126
 FLASH_V121
 FLASH_V123
 FLASH_V124
 FLASH_V125
 FLASH_V126
 FLASH1M_V102
 FLASH512_V130
 FLASH512_V131
 FLASH512_V133
rom with other savetypes still need to be patched by ez4_client before using.
- NOR flash support. if rom size greater then 16 mb it will be written into NOR
flash on 3in1 expansion. this take long time - be patient. in future this
game may be played as through akmenu as through ds original menu.

changes:
- libfat fix for zero length files.
- disble backlight brightness changing by R-key. reason: on ndsl it very easy
accidentally press R-key while power of console. this may corrupt file system
on nand flash.
- by pressing L-key+Up-key while akmenu starts you can abort store last game
save from internal memory to file system.

And what is that options in 3in1 expansion pack settings that is called sram, ram, do they have to be used to make save in gba rom, or is there autosaving system (forgive my noobness but im just planning to buy ez flash 3in1 expansion for my acekard).

The sram button backs up saves stored in the sram. I forget what the description is, but Rudolphs 3in1 tool has the same function. The ram button allows you to use the ram in the 3in1 for opera (Press the ram button then launch opera.) Yes it is autosaving. The sram button is there, 1. as a backup if you don't feel secure with the auto save. 2. if there is a problem with autosave.

This looks incredible. Nice meaty changelog. Heh, I said meaty. Acekard's Open Sourceness is looking to be actually useful. It would be really cool if everyone that made these firmwares could link up and communicate with each other and build off the same base.
