Hacking Current status of gateway emunand (N3DS)?

So I've been out of touch for a while and I was hoping someone could fill me in on a few points.

1) I know the last safe firmware for emunand is 9.5, do we have any way to spoof the firmware in EMUNAND to get eshop updates or do we just have to keep using cia upates?

2) I assume online access is a big no for now?

3) not directly related to gateway but I assume (for the N3DS) that no one right now has managed to get the new keys?

1) Correct in 9.5 being the latest. No way to spoof firmware TO MY KNOWLEDGE. Someone else can chime in on this. But 99% of everyone just use .cia updates anyway.

2) Online access is safe, if you're using a .cia online game (since .cia uses the console's header), or a private header (I personally use .cia games for any online games, so I can't comment much on private headers).

3) Hmm... meh.

I've heard that the Karl bootrom can produce the new 3ds keys, but It involves a hard mod and It's not fully explained yet.

On o3DS you can use the latest firmware. It's just n3DS that's limited to 9.5 due to new encryption.
And yes NTR-CFW can spoof eShop on n3DS if you have cubic ninja. On o3DS there's a browser hack for eShop spoofing (not that it's needed right now)
Your options are limited since you're on n3DS so cubic ninja is the way to go.

I think if you have the nands linked sysnand updates will work on emunand and the other way around. Or you could always install the updates and format emunand again or even run those games in sysnand.

mmmm formatting emunand is the biggest pain in the ass for me atm

I have the mset downgrade so my sysnand systems settings are on 4.5 but in emunand I updated it to the 9.0 system settings so I could access the micro SD management. Setting that all up again would suck

You should install the MicroSD Management CIA that can be found on the site which is not to be named. Makes it much easier to transfer files since it doesn't kick you out of emuNAND
