Hacking Current firmware of Black 3DS - 11.6.0-39U Should I be good?

I'd like to know if this is a good enough firmware to be on to play MOST games on my 3DS.
If I have to update please tell me. I currently have FBI installed and Luma3DS and do all my own rips through GM9.
I don't download games or anything I wait till I own them, then rip, THEN play.

Edit- Would really like to simply know will it support the following games...
1) Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey
2) Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions
3) Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
...as these are probably the newest games I'll be purchasing next.

You can update to the latest firmware if you have Luma installed.

It won't do anything to my custom firmware? And all the abilities I have to rip games and play them through .cia format after installing with FBI which I assume wouldn't be blocked if I update? @DPyro

Download the boot.firm and replace the one on your SD card with it.

Then update your console through System Settings.

I updated GodMode9 to v1.8.0
FBI is on version 2.5.0 and
Luma is on version 9.1-89cc6ed
All good to update via system update (through the "system update" option on the 3DS.
Everything went well, I contacted sthetix on Twitter and he/she/it helped me out.
