I'm looking for advice as to what is considered the current "best" USB HDD for use with the USB Loader applications. Which has been reported as the most reliable and offers a way to turn off spindown? I currently have a 320 GB WD Passport formatted as WBFS that I have used with no problems for over a year. However, I'm running out of space on it, and I'm ready to upgrade.

At the moment, the top of my list is occupied by the Seagate FreeAgent, but the WD Elements is a close contender.

Also, yes, I've given http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/USB_Devices_Compatibility_List a good browse.

I bought a FreeAgent a couple of weeks ago (320 GB) and I can tell you that works great. It has no problems in switching IOS'es, looks great, runs great, has 5 years warranty, so what do you wait for? [IMG]
