Update - Trailer:

It looks like Crysis is getting a remaster, as revealed accidentally by the official website. Information and artwork went live earlier than intended, on the Crytek page, showing that Crysis Remastered is in the works, before quickly being pulled minutes later. However, a banner image was still available on the site, showing that Crysis Remastered will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Crysis initially released back in 2007, and was a first-person shooter for PlayStation 3, PC. and Xbox 360.

Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE's native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and – for the very first time – Nintendo Switch.

Crysis wont be getting remastered, the game itself still holds up excellently today on high end hardware, the game itself was pretty demanding on high end pcs back then.

Cant see the switch getting a remaster, we all know itll likely get a subpar port of the ps3/360 version which wasnt that great due to its hardware.

Chances are too that the ps4/xbx1x will just get the same old pc port.

I hate when idiots fall for remastered, nothing is remastered.

You sound pretty sure of yourself. The information available indicates this is a remaster, updated to the latest Cry engine, with support for multiple cores, software based ray tracing, there's even talk about AI improvement.
The indication is that it should look better and run better on modern PC hardware than the original on the same hardware. Mainly because the original game was too tied down by single threaded performance. The new engine should be much more scalable than the original, meaning modern low-end PCs and Switch can actually play it.
… but I guess I'm an idiot..
