Today, the South Korea GRB (Game Rating Board) apparently approved Crysis for the Xbox 360. Crysis has not been released on the Xbox 360. It's a Windows-only title.

According to the Korea GRB, the game will be published by EA Korea. The rating page, which also went live today, specifically states the game is Crysis. Crysis 2 was already released in South Korea earlier this year. Does this all mean the Xbox 360 is getting a Crysis port?

Kotaku contacted EA and will update this post should the company comment.

Update: South Korean game site Inven apparently contacted EA Korea, who supposedly confirmed the Xbox 360 version of Crysis, adding that the release date was TBA.

Meh. Crysis 2 was pretty fun but I don't know if I would wanna play the first one now. Maybe for the campaign, but probably not the MP.

The only thing I remember from Crysis 1 were the fantastic graphics and physics. I remember you could just dissect whole buildings by shooting it and shooting the pillars. It was a lot of fun to just walk around in forests and shoot trees and buildings and see how far it's destroyable.

Hopefully they ask no more than 20 euros for this though, I doubt they will add more content to it.

Never liked this game much, and did not agree it sold badly due to piracy. It sold badly due to it being boring. It's got a few good tricks but it was definitely no more than a stretched out tech demo. It''l have to be really cheap to get any sales once peeps start putting reviews out.

Thought it was pretty good, a nice sandbox FPS that is far better than most console FPS games anyway. Much better than the second game, the second one was very consolised.

I don't see this being a direct port unless they're gonna sacrifice a load of stuff out of it, probably gonna port it to CE3. Unlike Crysis 2, the maps were huge and open and there was far more stuff going on (no doubt the grass will be cut down on 360...you know like you care).

Crysis reminds me of... a Garry's Mod map. Somehow stretched into an entire game.

That about summarizes the content too

Sweet. Crysis is one of the few great non-generic shooters to come out in a while, I'll probably buy it.

Though I have a question, what's the difference between this and Warhead.

Warhead is the expansion that came out in 2008. It takes place during the same time, but you just play as a different character. It is also shorter, but I liked it.

Hopefully, if the 360 is powerful enough, console gamers will see how much Crysis 1 is superior to Crysis 2 (although I must admit, you don't need power to see that).

Warhead is like Crysis 1.5. It's fairly similar to the first, but follows a different storyline.

EDIT: I believe that it didn't sell well because people didn't want it as a game, but as a benchmark. They probably thought against buying a game that they were unlikely to play. (the "it sold badly due to piracy" is because it was the most torrented game of that year)

Ah, OK. I played that one first, so I just wanted to know.

If I recall, they follow the same story, just through different perspectives (Perspective of Nomad vs Perspective of Psycho [I think that's his name...])

Warhead is way shorter than Crysis (Finished it in about a day)
Warhead is easier for computers to handle graphics-wise (Hope that made sense)

Other than that, they're pretty much the same thing. Never played online on either of them, so I can't comment on their multiplayer

I didn't care much for its story, but it was a fantastic game to just fuck about in. They need to just add a free play exploration mode or something, story be damned.
