I could probably understand why some of you don't like the dual tone. might be distracting or something. But after having a better look at it, it's actually solid black when ya open it up. It's only the top cover that's crimson. Check it out if ya haven't, gamepro just got their hands on it and took some nice pictures.

I like the Case too actually but there's nothing special with it. You can even make one for yourself if you know how to paint that the shell.

Thinking of getting another DS to complete the multiplayer experience with my brother but I don't really think there's anything special about the crimson DS. I'd prefer getting a white or black one instead.

I only look at those two screens in the middle you know where the game is. don't have time to look at the casing

The sad part is, it's not really even a customization, it's probably just a click on red top. The bottom and everything else, is black. It's useless if you ask me.

I don't like the Crimson DS Lite. The color 'red' is too warm for me, seems like it'll burn my hands, haha.

What if, you're not getting it for the red top, but rather, because you're upgrading from a phat DS? Ya know, not everyone already has a lite. But seriously, as it was already said, it's only red on the top, you're focusing on the game...what does it matter? It's just, a nice color.

I for one, will thinks it's pretty half assed, to have ONLY a glossy red top, and everything else, is matte.

I own a classic white ds with cracked hinge. Was going to buy an onyx but i'm glad I waited. I bought this as soon as I saw it was all black inside. I think it looks great.
