    So two questions:

Is it necessary to do a NAND backup everytime I update the OFW?

Is there a reason to keep old NAND backups in you are on a higher firmware and burned all your fuses?

I have 4.1.0, 5.1.0 and 6.0.1 saved and plan to upgrade to 6.1.0 now.

So what can I do with an older NAND then that does not match my current firmware?

If you somehow brick, you can restore it, boot thru RCM to bypass fuse count and update.
