Well, I have quite some gif files around that I extracted from a video (600 frames).

I'd like to turn those into a windows screensaver (.scr ?).

Is there any way to do this without that bloatware programs that float around ?

+ is there a file size limit to screensavers ?

Isn't there a slideshow screensaver? I'm pretty sure you can choose what pics to add to it, order of showing and how long a pic will be there until a new one appears.

I could have sworn Windows lets you use a picture folder as a slideshow screensaver... any reason you NEED it as a .scr file other than portability..?

yes, you are right, however the screensaver windows has build in changes the slides too slow...

I don't need it in scr period. It is fine anyway as long as the slides change quick enough.
