Ok, I just went to the movies with my friends to see crank 2 because we loved the first one sooo much. I thought this one looked kinda crappy in the trailers but now that I saw it, it is so awesome. Maybe you have to be in the right mood to watch it, but its sooooo over the-top. I don't think there has ever been a more messed up movie. But because it is so ridiculous, its funny. It is sooo unrealistic but scene pretty much everything in the movie is unreal, it makes it so you don't care and just take it. This movie is amazing, and I think anyone should go see it, it is very very graphic tho (I had to buy a ticket for the knowing cuz i dont turn 17 till next month) Idk, this is just really good tho. Still getting over the buzz of it. My friend dropped me off a ways from my house and I just ran all the way home at midnight. I wouldn't recommend seeing it unless you've seen the first though because this movie references just about everything and everyone from it. Theres a really funny part that references the very end of Crank 1. Anyways yeah, i'm just ranting on cuz I am super awake but at the same time I could fall asleep. I think I'm gunna take a shower then go to bed. Gotta get up early tomorrow. But anyways, Look it up and go see it.

If I thought the first film was one of the worst films I have ever seen, would I enjoy this one?

Amen to that. It was the first and only time I have actually walked out of the cinemas during a movie.

He didn't die in the first one. Remember what happened just before the credits started rolling (i don't want to ruin it for people who haven't seen the first one, so i'll just say this) he blinked, basically telling us he was still alive. I thought the first one was hilarious, a great movie of its kind. Kinda like if you put pulp fiction and fight club together and made them do a couple lines, this is the movie you would get (great analogy huh, lol).

woop, I saw the first one, the ending was pretty wtf. I'm glad this one is just as good.

Does the ending make way for a third?
Defiantly. Eye twitch again if you know what I'm sayin

For all of you who hated the first movie. I can defiantly see why. I believe that very few people would actually like the movie. Not sure who those people are, but I know I'm one of them and I just like it because of how insane it is. The second one is about 300 time more messed up. I guess If you didn't like the first one, dont see the second, unless you are there just to see the most whacked out movie, because this one is much crazier than the first. There are just random segments that are so out of place but the movie just acts as though its normal (like chevy and this guy where fighting in this electrical place (cant think of what they are called) but he just puts up his arms and draws in electricity and all of the sudden they are giant, with weird cartoon masks fighting like Godzilla or king kong and its just really weird. I really cant explain it at all but its great. I've never seen this style in a movie before.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
