Hacking CoverFloader v1.2 and v1.2a?

What is the difference between CoverFloader v1.2 and v1.2a. I just came across both downloads and they both said as the description updated version so I'm a bit confused.

CoverFloader 1.2 was the stable version, while the 1.2a was the developing version for the new 2.0 branch...

Actually, the 1.2a was so stable that everybody installed that version.

Now this is no more a problem, since the latest version is the r1036 which is an update of the 1.2a....
