Couple of questions regarding a site and RS

Hi,

- I recently opened my own DS romssite, and now I want some visitors.
Any tips on how to get alot of visitors quickly?

- I want a RapidShare premium account, and need 10k points for that.
What should I upload to RS, what is downloaded alot, and is small?

As long as you don't advertise it here, I don't care what you do to get people there. As it's both against the rules to advertise AND to post links to ROM sites. But I assume you knew that, or else this topic wouldn't be in the form of a question.

I pmed Costello, and he said I could open this topic, but said if I post any link to roms at all, I would get a ban.

And why do my RS links of warez get deleted so fast? In less then 18 hours (!) the links were deleted again!

And how come games of 40 RS links and more arent deleted so fast?

1. Put passwords.
2. Put links in [code ] tags.
3. Non obvious filenames.
4. Link masking/redirection service.

Probably. But any rom site that has split downloads for roms is not going to get anywhere.

Additionally, using rapidshare isn't the best idea because it mean that the average downloading will only be able to get 1 or 2 roms each 2 hours or so. This is fine for the people who grab games when the come out, but people like me won't enjoy that since I generally redo my games library all at once (ie I grab 4-5 roms in a row, but I do it sparingly)

Rapidshare and warez forumz are like usenet, except on HTTP. You can pay for a premium service, or get something stupid for free.

I did all of those things, except the last one, the link masking.
Does that help alot?

My site is mainly for the thousands of flashcard noobs, who dont know any other romssite then mine.

Well i would say this way:

First put your .NDS file in a .rar split in 4 parts with keyword.
Then you put the 4 parts into another .rar file.
And then remember NEVER call your .rar files: 1001 - Pokemon Pearl or what so ever call them something like: HJVBJB or anything else random

The thing about the split would FORCE people to extract the .rar with the spilt files to extract the .NDS rom from the 4 split parts with the keyword

Its about my uploads of warez like music CD's or so.

And Rapidshare sites are fucking useless. Why waste time and effort on crap like that? Pathetic.
