Just got my G6 Lite. Had a couple of questions.

    1) Can I delete the huge 80 meg pdaDS directory if I don't care about PDA functionality?

    2) Does the "Trim" option for the DS usually screw up games compatibility? Just curious, because I'm all for saving space.

    1) Yes
    2) Yes, but might as well try it and test the game.

    Thanks for the quick answer.

One more question. I've only put 1 game on the card, Osu Tatakae Ouendan, and it keeps crashing during transitions (after cutscene but before the game proper begins.) Any reason that could be happening?

I tried switching to "Normal" mode but it's greyed out in U-DISK manager.

I just tried Safe mode, and I also tried reformatting and rebuilding the cart, and putting ONLY Ouendan on it. Still crashes.

Thinking about returning it for a replacement......I can't believe my piece of shit Supercard plays it fine but my shiney 100% compatibility G6 Lite crashes. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. [IMG]

It's weird, ouendan works perfectly on M3 now so it should be working on G6... Don't tell me G6 doesn't have ram buffer?

I've only got 4 games on my G6L (Mario Kart, NSMB, Tetris, Phoenix Wright) and they are all trimmed. No problems so far.

Well, I did a couple of things and I think I fixed it.

First, I took apart the G6 and made sure everything was snug. I had some trouble unscrewing the screw from the white case but was finally able to get it off. After blowing it with some compressed air, I put it back together.

Next, I reformatted my cart and reloaded it with my laptop instead of my main machine. Since my laptop doesn't have a usb hub, I was plugged directly into the USB ports that feed into the motherboard.

After doing both things, Ouendan seems to be working OK now.

Nevermind, it crashed today twice between the cutscene and the game. I wonder if it's because my card is almost full. I thought I read somewhere about FAT file systems not working well when close to 100% utilized.

I'm going to email Hopebuy about getting a replacement. Guess I got a dud.

That's probably in relation to PC hard disks, so I wouldn't think that was the problem here.
