One of Australia's best CSGO teams will be attending Dreamhack after also recently wining the Oceania Qualifier and securing themselves a spot in the finals for for MSI's Beat It competition.

Australian Vox Eminor will be attending the on-site BYOC qualifier for DreamHack Winter's main $250,000 SteelSeries Championship tournament.
The Australians most recently topped the Oceania MSI Beat it! qualification and will also be attending the $22,000 finals in Beijing on November 22-23rd, right before DreamHack Winter.
Now they've also announced their plans to attend DreamHack Winter, regardless of obtaining an invitation, as they have rented a house to stay in and will at least be trying their luck in the BYOC qualifier, should they not receive an invitation.

The squad will be traveling directly from Beijing to Jönköping in order to save time, and it will also allow them three days between the events to bootcamp in Sweden to better prepare for DreamHack.
Vox Eminor have dominated the domestic scene with six wins so far in 2013, with three additional first place finishes in Australia in late 2012, since CS:GO took over as the tournament game.

Vox Eminor will have their shot against international competition as they will be attending both MSI Beat it! and DreamHack Winter's BYOC qualifier in late November, marking their first trips overseas in CS:GO.

Not sure if considered "news" here, although to you Australians that play CSGO this is pretty big.

In sports, a professional is someone who receives monetary compensation for participating. The opposite is an amateur, meaning a person who does not receive monetary compensation.
It checks out.
