After weeks of "chromosome" teases, Namco Bandai's countdown to its mysterious 3DS collaborative project with Sega and Capcom looks like it is at long last set for a reveal.
The game's official site was updated today with an actual countdown. The countdown will hit zero on the 12th at midnight.

So Megaman still exists ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I mean besides the sf vs tekken mockery.
That is a picture of X up there (technically not Mega/RockMan) and as for the mockery - that's paying homage to this near 25 year old mockery. But I'm sure you knew that already.

I'm still hoping it'll be something like the SRW games (I mean, this game also has the Banpresto logo on top in front of the Nintendo 3DS one which in part belongs to Namco), how awesome would it be, if it was a strategy game but with crossover characters from all those series? I wouldn't be surprised seeing how they do lots of crossover games (SRW, Namco X Capcom), I'll be hoping it's another one like that.

I think they went overboard; the Mega Man cover was goofy BUT his sf vs tekken character is a caricature of even that. The boxart features a slim, expressionless Mega Man with an askew art form but none the less symmetrical. The SF vs Tekken character is fat, wild acting, and with ridiculous off-center helmet design. Considering the timing of Inafunes departure, it seems to me like mockery rather than homage. Also, everyone says Inafune gives this his blessing. But that message comes from what Yoshinori Ono said when he was refering to this "blessing" from a year ago. I'm not sure what Inafune has said about the SF vs Tekken end product, if he said anything at all yet.
