I am wondering this due to a discussion with my brother, and he says that he remembers you would be able to buy achievement points score from Microsoft themselves, on the official store. Is this true? I know it sounds really damn stupid, but I'd like to know.

Haven't used a 360 in years and was just having a random convo with him.

Achievements are meant to be earned, not bought.
If you use any external tools, your gamerscore could be reset to 0.

@DKB he was probably confused, a long time ago microsoft used a point currency (Microsoft Points) to buy items on Live and Zune stores, then they changed to buying with actual currency values.
You had to buy points packages, then you used them to buy the items. The Wii store still works in a similar way.
