    Hey

I was wondering if someone could take a look at the source and add DVD support to DragonMedia Player. I know MPlayer CE does all of DragonMedia Player and then some but the "problem" that MPlayer CE doesnt keep playing music (eg. you have to click on another song each time a song ends) is bothering me in the situation the Wii is used.

Yes but since it doesnt and DMP is AFAIK the only player that keeps playing, as a temp solution someone should add DVD playback.

Not too much, you just have to write the code to use the lib used to read DVDs.

"dude" I believe my post was not too rude. I asked.

2nd I knew this from the op

3rd and "k thx bye"? This is not 4chan. Kids like you should go to a playground.

    *chants* FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT

oh wait...just realised this is a forum
btw you can't just ask a team that has a million other things going on to add DVD suppport to an app...it's not top of their priorities. I thought the wii can already play dvd's, so why do you need a media player to support it?

1st A Wii cannot read a DVD. No video, no files, no music, no etc...Just DVD Wii games. Im asking for DVD data files support.
2nd The person that did DragonMedia Player left the project so I cant ask him (nor contact him)
3rd I understand it is not a top priority. Im just wondering if someone is intrested in this.

So either way you're gonna have to wait for someone to code it.

    Back on topic somewhat:

I really wish DMP had DVD support personally. I can no longer use it with my larger SDHC card (16GB) as it simply cannot see it.

While Mplayer does the job, I consider it more of a "Windows Media Player" type application that tries to be everything in one bundle. Not a bad thing mind you, but I don't use WMP to play my music collection on the PC....I use foobar2k [IMG]

That said, DMP is simply a kick-ass audio player...that is just that..an audio player. But don't hold your breath for anything new on that end. I tried compiling the source a long time ago and it was a nightmare. Now I read (on the Wiki comments) that the source is incomplete.

DragonMinded is an excellent coder, but he seems to get bored of things even before they are completed sadly. The same thing happened with DSOrganize (Palm type app for the DS). Coding just ceased after a slew of versions...just when it started really getting somewhere.

Here's hoping we'll see a slammin' audio-only player someday down the road..

The problem is not your age. The problem is your immature responses for a simple request of a feature. Like I said, if you are not intrested, please stay out.

Well, if you ever get something together I can try to help...although I admit I am more of a tester than a coder [IMG]

To get back to DVD support, I did notice that you had said that the Wii does not support data/video DVD's, but this is incorrect. It does not support them out of the box, but if you install either DVDX, MplayerCe's IOS202, or Hermes IOS202 (this is the one I use), you will obtain data and video DVD support in MPlayerCE and other homebrew apps that utilize DVD media storage...like the various emulators and such. If DMP were to ever be modified to support data DVD, it would most certainly be a source modification to point to IOS202.
