Hacking Could FBI/other CIA installers theoretically bypass the 300 game limit?

The limit for installed titles on the 3DS is 300. After that the eshop no longer allows you to download new games. This is despite the fact that with folders you could potentially store thousands of titles. Is it even remotely possible to break this limit with CFW or will it never happen?

Even with a 128GB it's pretty unlikely you will be able to install 300 3DS games. Now if you installed a ton of VC maybe.

I have a 32db with over 120 games installed so all depends on what games you want to play.

I've hit this limit many times and have to keep removing programs to install new ones

If you have a 64GB or larger it's super easy, a lot of mine are demos too. Not every 3DS game is big, remember that too, even full-featured games are often only a couple hundred MB.


To answer the OP's question... no, not really. I've tried it. Title Manager and FBI will let you install additional CIA files, but what happens is they basically render some other title(s) unusable until you remove the new ones. They disappear from the home menu completely! (Even though the files are still on the SD)

It'll require a lot more work and I'm going to make a thread looking for help on the subject.

can you split your sd card and switch partitions on the 3ds so you can have more than 300 titles?
