so after that i just repeat the procedure from tutorial?if you mean testing it, the card needs to be empty to check the whole thing. unhide operating files and hidden files to get everything off the old card in folder settings.

i do..i will, they are all good, the card reader apparently broke..it was about time anyway.Yes, always test your cards.
Can you please explain me that "yamt" thing, what is that. how do you format/prepare an SD card with that method, i cantry that perhaps. i have 64GB microSD.storage manager isn't necessarily outdated, but it's a slower driver than yamt. with yamt, there's no config file or adding it to your config.txt. the installer does all the work for you, but some people have had problems with it trying to format the card first. I never had this problem on vita or pstv. yamt is added to enso itself in the boot_config.txt file which is in the same location as the config.txt.
OK so.... i did some testings with card and files. I tried putting PC in safe mode and transfering files and i get the same errors.
Its saying me basically this: So i copy paste from my PC to microSD via usb card reader (with or without SD adapter attached, doesnt matter) files begin to copy. some files (games, usually small one below 1gb but its not a rule) copy over to the card and when it reaches about 50% (again 40-60% somewhere there) the message pops up saying something like "cant read from source of the disk" than i get the prompt to automatically fix file system errors, cause its saying something "some files are dirty" or something..i remember the word "dirty" literally!
So i do automatically fix system errors in the middle ofcopying, and when it finishes it said "there was no errors...windows atempted to fix bla bla" and when i close the dialog the copying continues, but sometimes it doesnt, i need to take out card reader from usb slot and put it back again.
Can someone please tell me what seems to be the problem here?
same happens when i transfer via ftp...i dont get the prompts for card, but having problems with transfer.
I tit "h2testw" on that card and it found nothing. but than again i tested the card i know its bad and same software reported the card as being ok. i dont know how relieble that soft.
Im no expert but i think it has to do something with formatting process i followed for seting up sd2vita.
this one: https://vita.hacks.guide/storagemgr
So basically what i did is this:
1. downloaded and installed "Win32DiskImager"
2. opened it up. selected "zzBlank.img" click "write" (i got some prompts and card became unreadable)
3. took out sd from card reader, put it back again.
4. the prompt is saying that i need to format card to use it. i formatted it to default with windows formatter as
tutorial said (changed nothing. exFat, 128bytes, no sacrd name).
5. click "format".
6. after that i copied backed up files from vita's MC to microSD fine.
7 but when icoppied some games i app folder they give me that error.
Some big one did not gave me problems for example, others did. Can it be games? they are in "NoNpDrm" format.
For example i copied one game folder by folder little by little and i noticed when there is bunch of small files in some folder, like 10.000 -5.000 it gives me this error. files dirty something, error check, disables writing till it checks the sd card and eject/inject it back again.
the card is not corrupt and its teested as fine!
its saying in the guide:Your cluster size is wrong though, you need 64kb cluster.
its saying in the guide:
"If your storage device has a capacity of 256 GB or greater, you must format with a cluster size of 64kb"
My card is not 256GB or up, it's 64GB (it shows as 58 though)
Are you sure about the cluster size??
idk perhaps i made a mistake writing, i didnt really watcher, its from memory. You wrote 128bytes, 32kb cluster would show incorrect available space. Yea correct cluster is 64kb if you are not using that.
idk perhaps i made a mistake writing, i didnt really watcher, its from memory.
Ok now i actually put it in PC (it prompted me to check disk for errors by the way...).
This is what shows me as a default and i how i format it when following the tutorial:

And these are the available options:
![]()
u think that will do the trick?
Also whats with "zzBlank.img" and "Win32DiskImager" and writing to card making it unreadable just so i can format it after that...i mean...why?
Cant i just..format it and be done with it?
i bought 3 new card readers ad tried laptop, and pc and safe mode and sd adapter....all the same. That is writing all 0 to the sd card, it is just a thing with the vita setup. I use FTP mostly, I rarely take out the SD card in SD2vita. Probably issue is just your sd reader adapter. I use the micro to sd adapter long with an usb sd card reader.
can i still use SD card on PC to transfer files or i must use ftp or data cable?YAMT is just better formatting is all done on the vita
no scratching. im using v5 adapter. You really should try copy directly pc to vita using usb or wireless FTP. There are sign of fault when reading by PC, so avoid that card reader.
About cluster size, you should use default for your 64GB, and use 64kb cluster or LESS for more than 128GB (for 128+GB, with default (128+kb) cluster the vita will read wrong size, while with 32kb cluster, the read speed is reduce but size is correct)
Also, there are problem with sd2vita adapter that they can scratch your microSD, so check the back size of your microSD for those, avoid popping in and out if there are scratch.
can i still use SD card on PC to transfer files or i must use ftp or data cable?
also, can i do that now?
So i can use card reader to transfer files. What about what ZeroScene said: "There are sign of fault when reading by PC, so avoid that card reader."
the sd is fine in test, and its a new card. i bought it in the PC store.Probably a bad/fake sd card, I recommend Sandisk or Samsung.
the sd is fine in test, and its a new card.
could it be windows fault?
i tested it with H2testw while empty. no errors. i restarted windows many times and even used safe mode.If it was windows fault, restarting the computer would typically lift any copying restriction if there was any, assuming the SD card reader and SD card adapter is good, you need to test the card with H2testw with the card being empty, Kingston ain't a known brand for SD card, stick to Samsung or Sandisk instead.
