Copy DVD to another DVD

I'm getting a game from a mate soon, an illegally downloaded PC game.
It will be on a DVD, and I have to give that DVD back to that mate.

But another mate wants that game too, so I would copy it for him.
But how do I do that?
I only have one reader in my laptop, so I cant put them both in.

How can I copy the data from the game DVD to another empty DVD?

are you sure its a dvd writer you have

If you only have one drive you would need to make a image file onto your hardrive first and then burn the image file. Then you will need some burning software the one I use are clone cd, nero, imgburn .

on alcohol do you see an option "image making wizard" use that option to make an image, then after thats done pop in your blank dvd and then click on the option image burning wizards then select your image file then your ready to go.

If you have nero (don't know about other software, but they probably can too) you can copy dvd's with only one drive. it just crates a temp image on your HDD then burns it.

alternately you can manually create the image with the prog then burn it.

It just depends how the game is copied. The game might have copy protection on as its been cloned with something like clonecd.

You could even just install the game and then find a no-cd patch so you can run it without a disc

I dont want to install it, its mainly for that other mate.

I'm pretty sure its burned with Alcohol 120%.

I'll try it with Alcohol 120%, via de Image making process.

You could use dvd decrypter. This one breaks all copy protection invented. It was able to break that copy protection on my Vista Ultimate Upgrade DVD in less that 1 Second. Not that I made I copy of my disc. I was just curious.

A clone disc program would work. But seriously, copying a copied DVD won't have encryption.

As thegame07 says, use Alcohol 120% to make a dvd image and burn that image to another disc. Depending on what game he downloaded and what group (if any) released it, there should be a crack directory on the disc so you won't need to go and download a no-cd crack.

No it doesn't. DVD Decrypter is for DVD Videos. It doesn't work on data discs at all.

Yes you can

To answer your earlier questions:

1. Use Alcohol 120% to clone the disc. You will end up with an 'image file' on your PC (usually gamename.iso)

2. Use Alcohol again to burn to disc.

Bonus info: Use WinISO to add any extra files to the image file before burning (no-cd crack, patches, bonus levels, serial numbers).
