Misc Coonect 24 and updates

I am just wondering...

I know if you leave connect 24 on it downloads system updates. But does it actually give you the option of not installing the update?

I have a wiinja deluxe chip installed and i am just worried about future updates bricking my wii with future updates.

wii connect 24 doesn't download system updates, it lets you receive messages from your friends. to do a update you have to manually update VIA the settings or a letter from nintendo which contain a update button.

So i take it, its pretty safe to leave it running on a modded wii
