Hacking Cooking mama unresponsive

Hi guys.

So just recently my sister wanted to play Cooking Mama (the first one) only to find out the game was a lot unresponsive to the touchscreen. I figured it could be the game itself, or maybe the R4 (v1.11) which was the cause. Then it could be the DS itself. I'd like your opinon on the matter and some suggestions.

I don't play games which involve the touchscreen much but I think there were times when the DS was unresponisve and futher to that a little bit inaccurate. Thanks.

Have you tried recalibrating your touch screen?

Uhh... I'm not sure how I go by doing that. Is that in the system options where you tap the crossfire to calibrate? Because when I do that, I don't seem to get results.

mabye you have dirt or something touching the side of the touch screen?

use compressed air to blow off dirt, then wet a tissue and wipe it, then dry it and try

if you have no compressed air, you could try blowing through a straw

Ehh... I wish I could do that, but I have Hori screen protectors in place, I'll have to wait until they wear out.

Oh, could a slight 2mm and 1mm scratch across the screen affect too? Someone decided to play the DS with a mechanical pencil and scratched it about 9 months ago, guess who.

mabye the protectors are pressed down too much and afftecting the touchscreens sensitivity

Most possibly the scratches depending how deep they are, if anything it would be your actual DSlite, not the R4 or ROM. Do you use screen protectors?
If so, are they authentic? Some may be a bit dodge and may result in unresponsive touchscreen nature.

Yes its true, i played cooking mama and it was sometimes not responsive, other touch scren games work fine.
Especially when you have to coat in breadcrumbs some meat or something.

Played trough the entire game. Got all gold medals and not a single problem for me. You sure you're doing it right?

Your touch screen may be screwed. Open up the DS and check for anything loose or anything like that.
