Gaming Contra 4 Stage 10 Boss

I think I got it, shoot one arm until it blows up, grab onto the socket where the arm came from, shoot the brain, hurt the brain, repeat. Right?

I was doing this (With infinite lives/continues codes) and after awhile, it takes me to the game over screen telling me to continue...wtf?

I thought there was only 9 levels in Contra 4.

(Don't really remember...I think it's the 10th level)

Then the one where you climb inside its body, it has eyes that look at you and then arms that come at you.. (The boss comes after the heart thing you kill)

Make sure you have the "C" weapon as your reserve and any other weapon except spread as your secondary.

1) Destroy the Arm
2) Grapple the Socket
3) Quickly Switch Weapons to C and spam on head.
4) Be quick. Run to the middle of the screen when it looks clear and start spamming your C weapon. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE HIM RETREAT (Even better, do it before he summons anything).
5) Quickly switch back to your other weapon and repeat the process.

Using the 'C' weapon, it only takes 4-5 hits to make him retreat.
You'll have to repeat this about 4 times I believe.
Upgrade C makes things even easier, you don't even need to grapple if you get it at a good angle.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE HIM RETREAT AFTER HE DETACHES, ITS GAME OVER IF YOU DONT.
