Hmm... I'd be a lot more excited if the diagonals on my DS lite didn't suck so much.

In most games I avoid pressing em cuz I gotta press at least 5 times harder. :[
Shame cuz I looooove Contra ever since the first one on the NES!

I haven't read the scans yet(thanks for them btw) but I read somewhere that there's now grapple hooks. I wonder how it's going to change the difficulty in the game.

edit: Alright, so there's 3 difficulties, and for now, the two new guys are code named Mad Dog and Scorpion.

I hope this is a big success and that Konami decide to bring out a Contra compilation with Contra, Super Contra (arcade versions), Contra 3 - Alien Wars (SNES version), Contra Force, Contra: Hard Corps and Operation C all with SNES style graphic updates but also in their original forms.

I don't see it happening on the DS, maybe on more of Konami's Collections but I would love to see them all on one cart.

Although I'm excited, I am also underwhelmed.

It's in development at Wayforward Technologies, go have a look at their, uh... games.

naw, I know one of the directors and several of the artists who worked on contra 4, and they can manage to make decent games out of bad licenses, so I'm expecting the best when they get handed contra

I'll let you guys know if they ever show me some good quality graphics/screenshots

Read the last page of the scan, Nintendo asks about it and they act like they don't know what he's talking about. So I think that's a surefire way to say it's in.
