I'm pretty excited for this. Anyone want to provide real scans?
Love this! Wonder if the europe version will be probotector or contra.
Can't wait! Finally some old-school love for the DS.
All the flower-and-bunny games are getting on my nerves. They're like drinking a bottle of pancake syrup, tastes good and the sugar rush is great, but will make you sick to your stomach with all that sugar.
Happy blaster action is what I crave! Shoot the bunnies and stomp the flowers. WOOT!
I can provide a better scan once my issue arrives in the mail if you'd like.
omg that looks badass. Yes pls if you get a higher scan pls email it to cleric @ gmail dot com
Its been Contra in Europe since Contra: Legacy of War on PSX.
I'm glad it retains the original look and that they've not gone the 3D sprite route. Can't wait till some more details come out and some fresh screens. Would be even better if there was an old version of Contra locked away on it.
Although I'm excited, I am also underwhelmed.
It's in development at Wayforward Technologies, go have a look at their, uh... games.
Who developed the first Contras? I know Konami is the publisher, but were they also their own developing house for Contra?
I'm suddenly turned down after visiting the site.
I'll decide after seeing a PV or something.
They made shantae, which was an amazing game.
If they can pull 7s out of games THQ tosses at them for money(ex. spongebob) they might not be doing so badly with this.
Wayforward are -excellent- developers who've unfortunately had to thrive on a lot of bad license stuff because they're a small house. Their in-house stuff, like Shantae and Sigma Star Saga, is fucking brilliant.
No way, this isn't possible, I will kill you.
When you blew up that image, I just noticed something.
Is there 4 player co-op through wifi?
From the caption:
Classic, xxxxx xxx 2-D gameplay xxxxx four players......
I don't think any words can express how I'm feeling right now.
oh my god
I grew up playing Contra and Super Contra. I will LOVE this.
I loved Contra III to death! This will sure to be good too.
The people who developed it went on to form Treasure, who now just make Bleach games and sequels to their old games.
