    Okay, Here's a competition.
    I'll ask you something, and you'll all have to answer to it.
    I know it won't be fair because of time zones, but what the hell, it's just a small prize anyway.

    The first who replies HERE in the thread (not PM!) wins, simple as that.

    READ THIS THOUGH!
    I won't allow edited posts because: guy one post "hi" first of all, then guy two post the answer, guy one edit the post to the same answer and therefore wins...
    So the first post WITHOUT an "edit" text and the correct answer will win!
    EDIT!!! I want to see the REASON why you came up with the answer you got, so you just aint googling it! [​IMG]

    The CD is a Mia Kat Empire Promo CD, featuring a handfull of great indie pop / rock songs... I got a few from them so it's brand new and unopened / sealed.

    (oh, and please post a reason why you post the answer, not just the answer a'ight?).

    Haha, nope it's not.. I came up with this idea during me taking a dump yesterday...
    I have 3 sealed copies of the promo disc, and i sat doing a certain thing when I found out that it would be an awesome question for you guys to suck on for a while [​IMG]

    I already know the answer, and will post the complete solution (as I have thought of it at least) when a winner is chosen [​IMG]

    my math homework are FAR beyond this (Just ended 2nd year of "master of engineering in physics and media technology" [​IMG]

    Damnit, I would like this for my brother because he likes indie rock and stuff like that and he is in China. I don't know the answer though:

    My guess it is between the 2 and the 6 where A is supposed to go.

    I know its not right, but its worth a shot.

    Well... Maybe not really... But I sat with my college block and was writing while I sat on the toilet, and came up with this idea... [​IMG] (hate me less now?)

    Oh... I didn't read the full post lol, it's late here and I'm tired and I just googled the numbers [​IMG] I thought it was a sequence you had made up and didn't realise it was an actual thing.
    Anyway you can give the prize to someone else, looks like James B. might have known the answer.

    (I understand why though after reading the explanation).

    EDIT: please no killing me I'm so tired I didn't even bother trying to make it out I knew about it before this.

    Well I did google it so this is unfair, so you should give it to the next person who genuinly knew but here's what I understand of it:
    The terms position in the sequence is multiplied by the numbers from itself down to 1 including itself, then it is multiplied by two. That number is then divided by the terms number multiplying down to one again, squared.

    It doesn't work for your first term though [​IMG]

    EDIT: said it wrong, it is multiplied by two first, then multiplied down to one.

    So the 6th term would be worked out by:

    (12*11*10*9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1)/(6*5*4*3*2*1)^2

    EDIT: I meant 6. man I need to sleep.
