is your router correctly configured to work with the nds?

    channels 1, 6 or 11
    wep 64/128 (or no ecnryption)
    ssid set to public broadcast

depends on what o/s your using.

    you best friend is google....

the basic thing is you type the IP if the router into an internet browser and get the soft menu where you can change settings. i can't comment on specifics i probably don't own the router you own.

It's basically the same across all routers.

The address should be something like 192.168.1.1 or something similar.

You should be able to change the settings under the "Wireless" (or similar) tab.

what operating system do you use
what is your router (name and model number)

search those and find out how to properly install the router so it works.

then set it using the recommended settings from nintendowifi.com
    those are:
    802.11b
    channel 1, 6 or 11
    WEP 64/128
    ssid set to public broadcast

then set up the wifi in the nds.

if you can't do it call the 1-800 number on the back of your nds and ask for free help.

    i got this problem too
    but i know why
because i have a WPA code instead of WEP
wii works with both, but DS only works with WEP
    dont know why though

because wpa didn't exist when the ds was designed.
