how can i tell what region my 360 is locked to?
(it seems to be running english as well as chinese games.)

also i heard it's possible to install a game to the 360 HD and play it off that. i have the iso, how do i move/install it from my pc to the 360? (do i have to burn it to a disk or can i use a lan calbe or external usb hard disk?)

i have a double layer burner on my laptop and a 60gig 360.

Assuming it's a UK machine. Then it's Europe. The Chinese games will be region free ones.

Installing games , assuming you have the new dash. Then burn it , Y on the disc channel thing and then copy to hard drive.

only 60GB 360 i know of is the dev 360's that use partner.net. it will boot up to the tools menu before the dash if you actually have a dev box. the hardrive will look a lot different. bigger and bulkier. weird how it plays chinese and us. some games are region free though. im confused. also you can not play iso from teh 360 drive.

i think i have the old dash. it boots straight to the dash, not any tools menu.

the hard disk looks the same as the slim grey ones i've seen on other x360's.

also i have the samsung drive in the 360.

just one more question. how do i burn it to disk?
i have two files: one ends in dot dvd and the other in dot iso.
do i unpack and burn the iso to a disk and forget the dot dvd file?

No, you load up the .dvd file in whatever program you use and then burn. Always use the .dvd file, it contains the layerbreak otherwise you'll wind up with a coaster.

yeah but which 3 languages. i thought multi 3 was some stadard code. guess i'll just have to try my luck and hope ones english.

also i just looked at the covers of some of the games that my 360 runs.
they have the following written in the corner of the different cases:

    ntsc
    pal
    ntsc/pal
    ntsc j
    ntsc uc

i'm guessing this means my consoles runs both ntsc and pal games and the "ntsc j" is probably a region free japanese game.

i'm not sure what "ntsc uc" means though.

edit: just googled it. "uc" is apparently US versions of the game.

It normally says in the nfo what languages the three are.
