So I caved in this morning on and formatted my OLD 3ds Xl (US).
rip in peace mii plaza T_T

but yes i can CONFIRM, doing a SYSTEM RESTORE will fix any SOFT BRICKING LOOPS.
(on my o3dsxl anyways)

Actually, no, your in perfect shape. Most 2ds come with 9.2.0, you won't need to downgrade.
Edit: unless its a Yo-kai watch bundle 2ds

I downgraded 3 systems (10.3 2DS, 10.1 3DS XL and 9.9 N3DS) and it worked the first time for each one...

Well, that's not true. It will still be possible to downgrade, it will just not be possible to recover from a softbrick.

that being said, SALT team has a 10.3 cfw up and running, Gateway is working on a solution for fw 10.3 too, there will be alternatives if you stay on 10.3, has to be, just saying.

Just wondering since it seems their site isn't updated.
And if it's safe for soft brickers to do recovery mode updates.
